Q. I ordered a download but still have not
received it, where is it?
A.
We
have found that a lot of spam filters are catching the emails that come from our
file server, so before you get too worried that we didn't send you the
download link, please check there first.
Q. Your video/sound quality
is less than I expected. What's up?
A. We understand that the
background noises in many of the videos can become distracting, and the
video is not of the highest resolution. Because these videos were
recorded over 15 years ago by non-professionals, they did not end up with
the refined quality many of you may be used to with professionally recorded
movies of today. At that time, Glenn was faced with the decision to
either record these at this quality level or not at all, and he chose to
create a record of his teachings so that he could better reach his students
around the world. We want to be straight forward with you about this
issue because it does make a difference to some of our clients.
We would like to schedule time with
Glenn to re-record these videos at the higher, more professional quality
standards of today, but until this can happen, we have only these videos to
work with. We are aware that there is absolutely NO teacher in the
field of figure drawing that even approaches Glenn's 60 years of experience,
skill, knowledge and ability to transfer this to his students with such
clarity. Because we don't feel it would be doing anyone a service
by withholding them from the public, we are still offering them for sale on
our site. While a professional quality version of Glenn's DVDs
would easily sell for $60 a piece, we have decided that because of the
reduced quality of these videos that it would only be fair to offer these
videos to you at a discount of half this price.
What we have found is that our clients
that are most dedicated to learning to draw (ie. animators) do not find this
to be an issue because they are so focused on learning what Glenn has to
teach that the rest simply fades away from their awareness. We
ask that you find this same level of dedication to yourself and your own
ability to draw to see if you can focus on the information conveyed in the
videos rather than the defects. If this is still not possible for you
to work with these videos, we respect your decision to return any of these
products within the 60 day guarantee period.
Q. I live outside the US, do
you ship to my country?
A. Yes, because we have clients
in over 142 countries worldwide, we ship a lot of packages internationally. If you have questions or
concerns about playing our DVD's internationally, go here.
If you want to know more about our international shipping process, go
here.
Q. Your international
shipping costs are really high, is there a cheaper option?
A. We have had quite a bit of
experience shipping internationally and found that the one cheaper option (U.S.P.S.
Priority Mail) too often took over 6 weeks to arrive, or never arrived at
all, and that the so-called tracking and insurance for these packages was
worthless. We really don't want you to have that kind of experience
with us, so we have eliminated this from our options. The
International Express shipping method that we use has good tracking and has
proven reliable. While it is about $10 more expensive than Priority
Mail, it is worth it to know that the package will get to you. If you
prefer we use Priority Mail to save you money, we will do so, as long as you
accept the possibility that the package could get lost. We do not
re-ship lost items shipped via Priority Mail at the client's request.
We can also ship via UPS Worldwide
Express, however shipping costs start at $100 and go up from there.
Please contact us if you prefer this shipping option.
Q. I had my package shipped International
Express & I haven't received my package yet.
The U.S.P.S. typically transfers the
package to your local post for delivery. If you are unsure of where your
package is, and the tracking number indicates it is in your country, check with
your local post. Once the package arrives in your
country, it may be held in customs awaiting you to pay the import taxes.
Q. I don't have a PayPal account
to check out, do you have other options?
A. Yes, we do. You do not
need a PayPal account to go through the checkout.
Go here to see how or for more help with PayPal. If you still run into
any difficulties, we can process your card over the phone at (914) 470-0552
or you can mail us a check to Vilppu LLC, 115 Upper Forest Rd, Idaho
Springs, CO 80452. We do not accept international checks. All
international orders must be prepaid via credit card or PayPal account.
We accept domestic money orders from the US Postal Service only.
Q. Is PayPal safe to use?
We use Paypal for all of our
transactions online. This means you pay by checking account or credit card
online, and Paypal is the ONLY company to have your financial information!
This is actually SAFER than calling us with your credit card number.
Q. I want to attend one of
Glenn's classes in person, but I don't live anywhere near California, what
can I do?
A. Glenn really loves to travel,
and regularly teaches at Ringling School of A&D as well as Savannah College
of A&D. Check out our Classes page to see if
there is a class scheduled there soon. If you are located elsewhere in
the country or in another country, and if you can gather a group together,
you might be able to get on his schedule. Contact us for more
information.
Q. What is the difference
between a lecture and a demo on your DVD's?
A. Note that there is only a slight
difference between one of Glenn's lectures and his demonstrations. In his
lectures, he thoroughly explains the steps, while he is always drawing, showing
you every one of the steps and concepts. In a demonstration, he takes one
drawing from beginning to completion, while commenting on what he is doing the
entire time. So he is ALWAYS talking and drawing together so you can both
hear and see the process simultaneously. Both lectures and demonstrations
are included on all of his DVD's.

Q. I am a teacher/art
director and I would like to use this material as a text in my classroom,
how can I do that?
A. We do have this material in the
classroom at several universities and are very familiar with the process.

us if you would like to purchase this right.
