This classic French paper has a "vellum" texture on the top side and a flat surface on the reverse, both equally suitable for pastel, oil pastel, chalk, pencil, watercolor, and acrylic. It is a heavy sheet (98 lb), with a high rag content (66%) to ensure long life without deterioration. Contains: Hot Press and Cold Press, 5 each. Glenn prefers Arches Brand or Fabriano Artistico Traditional White Watercolor papers, which are made from 100% cotton, and are acid-free. We carry cold press and hot press surfaces.  Because these two brands are equivalent, we reserve the right to ship either brand.  Excellent for all water media, drawing and charcoal. Hot press is ideal for pen and ink. The traditional warm white shade is created without the use of optical brighteners.
