Soar to new heights with the Namiki Falcon.  Sleek in its unique style, this jet black fountain pen is a remarkable feat of engineering and elegance.  The Namiki Falcon’s most extraordinary feature is its flexible, hooded 14K gold nib that gently yields to the user’s angle.  Modest pressure on the tines makes a bolder line than when a light touch is used and a thick/thin effect comes from the tip itself.  We know of no contemporary pen with a more flexible nib.

The size of this pen would be considered standard, at 5 3/8" long, capped. The diameter of the grip is comfortable for almost all hands.

NOTE: Drawing and drafting inks contain shellac which can be harmful to your fountain pens. There are also several inks out on the market marked Calligraphy Ink and further marked for use in fountain pens. We suggest you check these carefully, we've found most of the Calligraphy Inks to contain shellac and unsafe for fountain pens. This Fountain Pen was designed for sketching!  They are not flexible like the Falcon, but they are very good, and they are a whole lot less costly!  The iridium nib provides a smooth, enduring stroke.  Stainless nibs in most fountain pens can feel scratchy, and since most are designed for writing, they don't usually allow the ink to flow enough for line work.  Comes in three sizes (Extra-Fine, Fine and Broad).  Glenn's preference is the Extra Fine, but at this price you may want all three!  Remember, since it is not flexible like the Falcon, you will not be able to get a variety of line weights with just one pen.   Includes a suede pen wrap, an ink converter and 3 cartridges.  We do not carry replacement cartridges at this time, but we recommend you use the bottled ink above to refill using the converter anyhow.
